It was early morning when this ocean-bright beauty forced me briskly down stream...just the wake-up call I needed. It started off another action-packed day that also included the landing of Pink, Chum, and Sockeye Salmon along with some amazing trout fishing. Birch Fett, of Little River Anglers, is a knowledgeable, patient and seemingly tireless guide. He can handle a jet boat with the best of ‘em. Birch not only showed me an incredible week of fishing but prepared probably the best shore lunch of my life. Fresh-grilled Silver Salmon streamside beats, hands down, the best efforts of any 5-Star restaurant. Yeah, you tend to get a little silly in such a setting. With rod held high, I once again exclaimed: “Fish On!-Hi Ho Silver...Away!”, followed by yet another clumsy jaunt down river.
